Hi Will,

Now a note about the T37.
The maiden sail was yesterday. In comparison to my previous yacht
(original Kyosho Fairwind) the hull is so light!! I can even hold it
with one hand! She reacts fast to a light breeze, she doesn't list
much, and her grace pleases his owner and the onlookers. She is also
very easy to rig / unrig for the transport.
The construction went fine with your instructions. I have learnt
plenty of new words (shrouds, jibe, stern, etc.), and the measures in
inches made it a bit challenging. :-)
I'm really satisfied with this building and sailing experience so far,
and looking forward to the next sail!

The enclosed pictures are in the Jardin des Tuileries, in Paris.
I'll try to do better pictures next time (not so easy to sail AND snap
at the same time).

Best regards,
Romain L.

And, sailing in the Jardin de Luxembourg! Two of the most famous and beautiful sailing ponds in the world!

Hi T-Boats:

This announcement was read on launch day:

"Hear ye, Hear ye:

Let it be known that on this date: February 24 2013, at the Port Of Klickitat, Washington on the Columbia River, I Catherine Jane Flick do name this sailing vessel the "Catherine Jane".

T-37 Hull #1807.

The corks were popped, the crowd cheered.  Someone mentioned that we might have to design a way of reefing the main for the Columbia Gorge winds.....

First sea trial went well with some minor rudder issues.
She looks to be a fine sailor.  See attached pics.

Thanks
Stewart

Hi Will

Thank you so much for your email. It really made my day!

Hope you and your family are well. Just letting you know how my Tippecanoe
family of boats are getting on over here in little NZ.. We finally finished the
T-27 and she had her first sea trial. I made sure she was on a string at first
though – didn’t quite trust my model boat sailing skills enough for her not to
sail away! She sailed absolutely beautifully, and was a real delight to handle,
not to mention very fast. After much thought, I decided to call her Midnight
Magic.
The T-37 we ordered earlier this year is progressing really well. She is a very
beautiful design – sleek and racy. We have finished planking her deck, and are
now in the process of getting her hull ready for finishing. Thanks for ensuring
that the radio frequency of my T-37 was different to my T-27. I’m really looking
forward to sailing them together. The quality and completeness of your kits are
truly amazing.

Looking forward to your reply

Will’s little sister (5-1/2 years old).  When we build her own T37, she says, it will be pink and called "Dolphin."  She says, "There are pink dolphins in the Amazon, you know."

Shane added a mysterious look to his Radio Controlled T-37 by requesting all black custom made sails. You built a stunning boat Shane, it looks great!

Hi Will,

Thank you for the great kit!  I love wooden boats and hope to race with the group in Seattle, but having had no wood working experience, was intimidated by the idea of building the boat myself.  The kit was excellent and the instructions so clear, that it gave me confidence.  I am very pleased with the results and took "Mr. Arrow" out for the first time today.  If I can successfully build a T37 anyone can.

See you on the pond.

Best regards,
Steve
